Pressemeddelelse:

Galerie Mikael Andersen and curator Jens-Peter Brask are pleased to present Floating Bodies – a group exhibition and cross-section of the current American contemporary art scene, featuring selected works by Amy Bessone, Jane Corrigan, Jackie Gendel, Becky Kolsrud and Ammon Rost.

The exhibition revolves around the body as a theme, hence the title Floating Bodies. In the exhibition, we encounter the body as a concrete subject matter, but the show also aims to initiate a conversation and reflection on the body as a starting point in the creative process, with a focus on the living, intuitive, and expressive flow. Together, the five participating artists represent an art that moves between the abstract and the figurative in a sea of nuances, with practices that bear witness to a world in constant change.
