Den første soloudstilling i Skandinavien med Thao Nguyen Phan vil gennem mere end 100 værker fra de seneste ti år udfolde kunstnerens fængslende billedsprog i stemningsfulde filminstallationer, minutiøst udførte lakmalerier, lysskulpturer, sarte akvareller og arkitektoniske interventioner.
I hendes videoer bliver maleriet levende og skaber et drømmeagtigt billedsprog, hvor folketraditioner, eventyrfortællinger, litteratur, filosofi og hverdagsliv smelter sammen. Kunstneren undersøger Vietnams turbulente historiske begivenheder og reflekterer over menneskeskabte miljømæssige og sociale forandringer, såsom udnyttelse af naturressourcer og ødelæggelse og kolonisering af landskabet.
