SABSAY

SABSAY is an emerging contemporary art space in the centre of Copenhagen. Within one concise room selected international artists and curators will be challenged to realise their utmost creative potential at exhibition staging. We value above all the art which serves as an instrument of global change. Delicate selections of art objects should turn into messages with powerful content, fostering a worldwide dialogue. Our mission is to push the limits, to examine the facts upside down, to shake the patterns, to step into the unknown with the positive attitude of a curious wonderer. We worship art that moves the boundaries and support those who fear not to dare.

Masha Sabsay, the founder of Sabsay has been an art adviser since 2008 consulting and curating private art collections in the US and Eastern Europe. In 2013 Masha had co-founded Artsvit Contemporary Art Centre in Ukraine intended as the vast platform for supporting Ukrainian artists and providing comprehensive education program on international contemporary art for children and adults.

Every year Sabsay is aiming to bring to Copenhagen 3 to 5 crisp exhibitions of young and emerging artists enriching the Danish art scene with new names and practices as well as encouraging joint projects between international and local artists and curators.

We intend to make our web presence global through collaboration with such established worldwide engines as ARTSY and SEDITION.
